Oral Presentation Format
- Oral presentations will be 8 mins in duration.
- Each Oral Presentation session will consist of 4 papers followed by a 13 min discussion period for questions/comments on the 4 papers.
Poster Presentation Format
- Physical & e-posters will be accepted.
- Physical poster dimensions should be 1 metre square.
Abstracts are invited that
- explore innovative, evidence-based examination & treatment strategies for shoulder & elbow dysfunction
- address new & unique developments in the management of shoulder & elbow dysfunction
- explore innovative ways in which the management of shoulder & elbow dysfunction can been adapted to meet the changing needs of clinical practice
Selection Criteria
- Submitted abstracts will undergo a blind review process conducted by international reviewers.
- The following principles will be used to review Abstracts:
- The significance/importance of the topic to an international audience of shoulder & elbow therapists.
- The scientific quality of the presentation.
- The contribution of the paper to the advancement of evidence-based management of shoulder & elbow dysfunction.
- Specifically, each Abstract will be assessed using a 15 point grading system:
- Scientific Quality (3/15)
- originality and/or novelty
- clear rationale
- clearly defined research question
- Scientific Quality (3/15)

- clearly described methods
- validity/reliability
- Methodological Rigor (4/15)
- Results & Conclusions (4/15

- Abstract Description – maximum 250 words

- Conflict of interest disclosures
- Ethics board approval – if applicable
The 8th ICSET
International Congress on Shoulder & Elbow Therapy Congress to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is fast approaching. It will take place from September 23rd to September 25th, 2026 & registration for ICSET 2026 is now open.
Early bird registration ends on May 31st 2026
The Preliminary Program is now available
Professor Joy MacDermid & Professor Chris Littlewood will deliver Keynote Addresses.
In addition, delegates will have the opportunity to attend multiple Focused Symposia & interactive Workshops presented by experts in the field of shoulder & elbow rehabilitation.
